ICL contract with Pappu Venugopala Rao for the Nāṭyaśāstra

We are pleased to announce the signing of our third ICL contract, with scholar Dr  Pappu Venugopala Rao for the Nāṭyaśāstra. 

Dr Rao is a Masters degree holder in Sanskrit, Telugu and English Literature, doctoral theses in Sanskrit and Telugu and a D. Litt in Indology. He has studied music under Sri Patrayani Sangeeta Rao and Dr. Balamurali Krishna. He has been associated with Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam and was instrumental in initiating an academic study in Kuchipudi dance.

6. English translation of a Telugu poet’s 100 poems (Dasarathi satakam)
7. Nritta Rathnavali (co author Yashoda Thakore)
8. Critical Edition of Nritta Rathnavali published by IGNCA
9. Five Gems of Saint Thyagaraja (co author Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan) published by IFAASD, San Diego

He is known for his  Nāṭyaśāstra workshops given all over the world and has is endowed with recognition in India and overseas. For his contribution to the field of arts he has been conferred with titles like the Natyakala Sagara, Natyakala Visharadah and Sangita Samrat amongst many others. The award for all-round scholarship conferred upon him by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Government of India, sums up all of them.

He is currently Chairman Board of Trustees, University of Silicon Andhra, USA.
